Do you want to fly?
Many people ask me how to become a pilot and if they can get paid to fly. As a commercial pilot, I live my life in the skies and love it. Flying is a wonderful thing. Nothing comes close to the excitement of taking off and leaving the bounds of the ground. The sky seems limitless and full of possibilities. Plus the view from above is breath-taking. The big picture is a beautiful picture. Flying can lift your spirits and send you soaring. In a sense, flying is focused freedom. I hope you try it.
The journey to become a pilot is amazing. The first time you solo is an exciting rite of passage, but people write me from all over the world with their horror stories -- a good flight school is crucial. I want to help you avoid the pitfalls. It's good to know the whole process before you start the journey.

I'm
a certified Ground
Instructor and happily employed
Commercial
Pilot. I really hope you try your hand at flying.
According
to AOPA.org, the
#
of commercial pilots has been
dropping every year
since 1999 and the # of pilots has dropped 25% in the last 20 years.
So,even though
the population has grown enormously, there are less pilots. It’s
ashamed
the number of pilots is dropping when flying is so much fun! I hope to
help aviation live on.
